Dante

An audio-over-IP networking technology developed by Audinate. It transmits multi-channel, uncompressed digital audio over standard Ethernet with very low latency. The WATCHPAX 50 is Dante-ready -- a license can be purchased and activated to enable Dante audio output. See Dante License Activation.

EDID (Extended Display Identification Data)

A data structure that every display sends to the GPU over the video cable, describing its supported resolutions, refresh rates, color depth, and timing parameters. EDID emulation on the WATCHPAX 50 overrides native display data to ensure all outputs report identical capabilities. See EDID Emulation.

GPU Topology

Refers to the logical arrangement of GPU outputs and how they map to the physical display connectors on the WATCHPAX 50. The topology view in WATCHPAX Config shows which GPU output drives each Mini DisplayPort connector, and is the basis for configuring mosaic grids and display assignments.

LPCM (Linear Pulse-Code Modulation)

An uncompressed digital audio format. The WATCHPAX 50 supports 2-channel audio embedded in the DisplayPort signal, as well as analog stereo output via the 3.5 mm jack.

Mosaic

A GPU feature that merges two or more physical display outputs into a single large virtual display. Instead of each output acting as a separate screen, the GPU treats them as tiles in a larger canvas. See Enabling Mosaic.

WATCHPAX Config

A browser-based configuration interface served by the WATCHPAX 50 on port 3024. It provides tools for managing EDID emulation, mosaic configurations, GPU topology, display settings, and network configuration. See Accessing WATCHPAX Config.
